She was the type of girl the moon chased and the stars wished for.

March 19, 2018

I first started talking to Mikayla and her mom almost a year ago. I had done a session for someone she knew, she loved the images and decided she wanted to book her Senior Session with me. (Awesome, because they are one of my favorite genres to Photograph.)

She wanted to do her session in the winter, she for sure knew she wanted snow. We planned for January; Central PA, tons of snow. Everything was all set. The time came to send out reminders and Mikayla's mom messaged me. Mikayla was deep in her sports season and January just wasn't going to work. No problem! Get it girl! We rescheduled for February and when the time came for a reminder, her mom once again reached out to me. This time with crummy news. Mikayla had sustained an injury during a game and would be in a cast for at least 6 weeks. Mikayla's dreams of having images with snow was fading. We rescheduled for the first weekend in March, thinking.... ehhhhh there PROBABLY wasn't going to be any snow. It SNOWED the NIGHT BEFORE her session! Gah! We were SO excited!

Her session went amazing. So smooth. She posed like a model. She needed so little direction it was amazing. She was up for anything and rolled with all my ideas. I showed her some back of the camera shots and we were both in LOVE.

What I love most about sessions is meeting and getting to know my clients. Mikayla is a Senior at Curwensville High School. She plays softball and basketball. She will be starting Penn State in the Summer to begin her journey to become a Veterinarian. She's a pretty cool girl and I'm super honored to have met her.

When I edited her images, I loved them even more. They were absolutely perfect. I was so excited to show them to Mikayla and her mom. When I did and they loved them too I was on cloud nine.

So without further prattling on, here are Mikayla's Senior Portraits!
